BETWEEN THE VALLEY AND THE MOUNTAINS
A junction of different facts makes the state of Huila a great place to ride bicycles, history and nature treasures are hidden around. Located in the southwest of Colombia, the department of Huila is home of a fantastic contrast of landscapes, to the south, the Colombian massif and the born of the eastern Andes with a mountain topography loaded with beautiful landscapes all over the place, towards north the Magdalena river valley – Colombia´s main river – framed into a vast productive land, home of some of the oldest towns and very dry areas. Ride our bikes here is a great experience, the amazing views of arid places vs green rolling hills, filled with the story and heritage of humans.
Ride in a desert, renowed as a rich deposit of fossil and one of the best natural astronomy observatories, and around the world’s largest necropolis and UNESCO world heritage, the area of San Agustin, which contains the largest collection of religious monuments and megalithic sculptures, present both anthropomorphic and zoomorphic features with unknown origin, all of this located in the upper basin of the Magdalena river, and at the perfect pace of the bikes is such an experience
